There are maid cafes, cat cafes, topless cafes and even a sewing caféin Paris. So it was only a matter of time before the world finally got to see a Pantone café.
Pantone has been adding vibrant color to everything from coffee cups to home exteriors since the 1950s. Now, the company that is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has a café dedicated to showing off the brand’s bright colorings. It is nornally used on advertising print area, such as feather flags print, silkscreen print as well.
The café is located in Monaco and uses the tagline “Taste the Colors.” Each item on the menu goes by a Pantone color and number, so orange juice is listed as Vibrant Orange #16-1364 juice, Paste magazine reports.
It isn’t just the food that is all about the Pantone. The napkins, tables, chairs and coffee makers all also have corresponding Pantone color codes that are noted (just in case any aspiring designers are wandering through seeking coffee or inspiration).
As Paste notes, the whole café that sits on the beach of the French Riviera lends itself instantly to Instagram. In addition, the waiters and waitresses that work there won’t have any trouble waking up when they are working the early shift. Just looking at the bright walls should do the trick—and the coffee can’t hurt, either.
